Mormons
have three books in addition to the Bible called, "The
Book of Mormon", the "Pearl of Great
Price" and the "Doctrine and Covenants" . The Articles
of Faith no. 8 states, "We also believe The Book of Mormon to be the Word
of God". The founder, Joseph Smith stated that it is the "most correct
of any book on the earth".

They believe and teach that God is an exalted man who was once just
like us (History of the Church, 6:305). In the Doctrine and
Covenants, 130:22 it is stated that "The Father has a body of flesh
and bones as tangible as man's".
According to Mormon theology Jesus is supposed to be the child of
The Father and a goddess wife. In the Journal of Discourses, 1:50,
they state that Jesus "was not begotten by the Holy Ghost".
The
Holy Ghost in Mormonism is, "a man, he is one of the sons of our Father
and our God". (Journal of Discourses, 5:179).
-
They believe that the sacrifice of Christ on the cross is not fully
able to save. This is shown in the Journal of Discourses, 4:53
where it is written, "There are sins men commit for which they cannot
receive forgiveness in this world…they will be perfectly willing to
have their blood spilt upon the ground".
