Please read the following very carefully.

The Word of God says in 1 John 1:9, that, "if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Also, God says if you are really sorry and have fully repented, then He will not even remember your sins anymore. "...for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more." - Jeremiah 31:34

"For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee." - Psalms 86:5

How wonderful that is, right!

It is true, for it says, "Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back." - Isaiah 38:17

When discussing this subject with your spouse, be aware that the devil can try to use it to destroy your marriage. But if you were wise and prayerful, you would prove your repentance by your total commitment and faithfulness to your spouse, leaving all of the past history and connections behind.� The Lord would then help you in this.� As you follow Jesus and obey Him, then the devil can't do anything to hurt you.

Since you are forgiven by God (if you have asked Him to forgive you) then there is no need to worry about your past sins as Jesus has washed you clean.

Determine to live a holy life by reading your Bible and obeying God every day and by praying to Jesus daily and thanking Him for His forgiveness for all your sins (not just one particular sin).

When God doesn't remember our sins anymore, no matter how bad they are, then we shouldn't remember them anymore either because it is no longer in God's record.

Why the devil will try to make you remember the past sins? Because,

1. He wants to make you doubt God's forgiveness
2. The devil wants to make you live with guilt forever
3. Prevent you from enjoying your marriage before God

Whenever the devil tries to bring that to your mind, you can just shout to the devil: "I am cleansed by the precious Blood of Jesus! And He has made me holy and righteous before God!" and confess the Word of God just like Jesus did when He was on the earth and overcame the devil. You are free to go forward and grow spiritually in Christ.

Praise God, dear brother/sister, the Lord has forgiven you and forgotten your sin!
