![]() Euthanasia occurs so often today that one doctor in Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City has stated to the press (AP, March 18, 2005) that he has to make such decisions on a daily basis. It is defined as, “mercy killing” by many. This is a direct reflection of a society of God-haters or ungodly people. Firstly, they do not believe that a human being has a soul and is made in the image of God, unlike animals or pets. No wonder they don’t believe in an afterlife. They believe that once a person dies they are, “free from life’s struggles and dead as a dog.” Secondly, they do not believe that miracles can happen, even to terminally ill patients. In actuality, people who were terminally ill have been healed before and folks in comas up to twenty years have suddenly awoken and come back to normal function. So, this makes it even worse. Even though miracles have happened they, much like the Pharisees in Jesus’ Day refuse to accept them! The hubris of such “willing” ignorance on the part of many of these “decision makers”, is an abomination and inexcusable at the Bar of God’s Judgment. An invalid is a sick or disabled person. Are we to revert to Nazism and declare who is worthy of life and who is not? Surely, this type of philosophy finds its origin in heart of that, “murderer from the beginning”, Satan. All human life is indeed sacred. If anything, our greatest sympathy and defense should be directed towards those who cannot speak for themselves. Let us never forget the Word of God in Proverbs 24:11 which warns, If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain; If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works? We must speak out against these horrible evils of rebellious men and women in the judicial system, medical community etc. Where we cannot voice our protest to these malicious deeds in person, we must support those organizations and individuals who have a public forum to do so. We ought to also pray that our loved ones and ourselves would constantly be under the Precious Blood of Jesus. We ought to know that we are saved by faith in Christ and that we are ready to meet Him at anytime. Abortion and Euthanasia amongst a host of other diabolical trends show plainly that the coming of our Blessed Lord is drawing very near. He that is Judge over all the earth will bring to light every sin and every secret thing and set the oppressed free! Maranatha! |
